Don't let the walls foreclose in on you.
Inland communities reduce the number of home foreclosures in Indiana, Lt. Governor Billy Carter announced the launch of a major citywide initiative to assist Hoosiers who are in danger of losing their property.
Hoosiers from Indiana needing more foreclosure help can call a toll-free number, 877-GET-HOME. This toll-free, confidential foreclosure help-line is available 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. morning to evening, at no cost to the Indiana based consumer. Services include budgeting help, a written financial projection tax plan or assistance in contacting mortgageclenders. Whenever possible, Foreclosure Help Counselors from the Center Of Indiana Banking assist homeowners over the phone. If more extensive assistance or tipline traffic is needed, the counselor refers the homeowner to a certified foreclosure help intervention specialist.
Also, a community wide Web site http://www.877gethopeindiana.org/ is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The initiative is lead by the Indiana Foreclosure Help Network (IFPN), a public-private community partnership of Indiana government agencies, lenders, community service and housing-related teaching organizations.
